How to write a clearer personal ad
A clear post helps readers understand whether they are a good match before either person shares more personal information.
Make the title useful at a glance
A good title helps someone understand the area and purpose without opening several posts. Instead of a title such as “Hi” or a single name, mention the area and the kind of person or connection you hope to find.
Include the information a reader needs to decide
- Your general area or the area where you can meet.
- Who you hope to meet.
- Whether your schedule is fixed or flexible.
- The type of connection or conversation you are looking for.
- Any important boundary that can be stated without exposing sensitive information.
Be specific without keyword stuffing
Write naturally for the person reading the post. Repeating “Newhalf”, “Tokyo” or other keywords many times does not make a post more useful. Clear, original wording is better for both readers and the long-term quality of the board.
